In this article we will walk you through the GoPortal experience of our Task Confirmation feature. If this feature is included in your organization's subscription, it will allow you to reject upcoming assigned tasks if you can no longer work. Your employer will also be able to request confirmation that you can work your upcoming tasks. See the steps for each way below!
Task Confirmation Requested by Your Employer:
If your employer requests Task Confirmation, you will receive an email notification to complete your confirmation.
Tasks that require Task Confirmation will appear first in your Summary tab.
Click the task that needs confirmation.
Within the task, click the thumbs up to confirm you can still work your assigned task. If you can no longer work, click the thumbs down.
When you confirm or reject, you can also write a message to your employer via in-app messaging.
If you reject Task Confirmation, you are not 100% unassigned just yet. Your employer will need to fully unassign you. As a GoGetter, you will not have the ability to cancel events or remove yourself from a task without your employer's approval.
Check out the screenshots below on what the Task Confirmation process will look like when your employer requests it!
How to Reject a Task by Yourself:
Sometimes, things come up that may require you to reject a task you have already confirmed (regardless if you’ve previously confirmed that assignment with your employer). In these circumstances, you have the option to ‘Reject’ your task.
If you would like to reject an assigned task (regardless if you previously confirmed it), first login to go.gopinata.com.
Click the task you would like to reject.
Click the icon in the top right corner of the task.
Task options will appear and you can select “Reject Assignment”.
You can write a message to your employer via in-app messaging to let them know you can no longer work your assigned task.
If you reject Task Confirmation, you are not 100% unassigned just yet. Your employer will need to fully un-assign you. As a GoGetter, you do not have the ability to directly cancel events or remove yourself from a task without your employer's approval… but this is what Rejection is meant to do!
